If you stay at Southhampton, you have the beach with great snorkeling but only a few restaurants unless you take a cab which can add up. In Hamilton, you can walk to a variety of restaurants and nightclubs/bars, plus shopping and a gourmet grocery store that is very close. The pool area is very nice and you are on the water, just no sand. You can take the ferry over to Southhampton for the beach or take a cab to other beaches. I like being able to walk around downtown and having a variety of food options, which is why I'm staying at Hamilton this year. By the way, Sniqueaway and Travelzoo have had some great deals for Hamilton this year.
