You're in the catbird seat, OP. See if you can get an offer from one of the other places at a higher salary to use in negotiating salary.

I think it's ok to wait for the written offer before you give them an answer. I've always done so. I don't think you made a mistake at all - the fact that you have other options means that they've chosen someone with talent and skills that are desired by other companies. And you've given the recruiter positive feedback so they probably know there's a good chance you'll accept.

Good luck!! (and congrats in advance.)

No one expects you to take the offer immediately. They wont withdraw.

You'll be fine. They will want you and now you have a better place from which to negotiate.

From my perspective, it makes you look even more desirable. You don't have to take their job. Now they also know they have to give you a good offer. Be sure you negotiate for your own interests!

Congratulations, OP! You are in demand!

I went for a job interview with a company yesterday and got a verbal job offer from them today.
I told the recruiter that I need some time to decide as I have other offers as well. I also told her that I am really liking the package that they are offering. She seemed to be okay with it and said that I will get the written offer by Monday and I will have until the end of next week to get back with them.

I really like this company and the career paths that I will be exposed to while working there. While I do have other offers, this company is definitely my first choice. But I also didn't want to sound desperate by accepting the offer right away.

However, now I am a bit worried if I have put them off by telling them that I am also considering other job offers and if this can result in them withdrawing their offer and not sending me a written offer at all.

FWIW, this is an entry level position in IT field and there were 14 candidates that were interviewed for this position with a possibility of four getting hired.
