It is a much bigger play ground than most of the other near by centers (much bigger than the early steps, first baptist church, rosslyn child care center, and clarendon child care centers).

They have a major roach problem. Saw them when we toured. Obviously we went elsewhere.

And there is no water pressure so proper hand washing (of hands or dishes) is really hard. It's just not fair to the teachers and I'm not sure why the parents paying what they do aren't more active. It's weird.

This is really helpful. I liked the new director alot, although I must say I have been worried about the construction situation. I'll inquire more about that to see what precautions they are taking. The facility concerns me especially with the construction, but I really did like the women in the infant room so I am torn!

There has been a lot of teacher turnover since the new director took over last summer, which has made many of the parents unhappy. There are still two teachers in the infant room who have been there forever though, who are both really good. The construction is an issue though that you should take seriously. Parents are very, very concerned about the proximity of the large cranes to the building and there has been little communication about the safety precautions that Kindercare is taking to protect the building and playgrounds once they start to erect the high-rises in a few weeks. Many parents are considering other options right now due to teacher turnover and construction safety concerns about falling objects and noise levels.

Hi! I have two children there. The staff is wonderful -- particularly in the infant room. However (as you know) the building is a dump. But the staff is the reason many of us have stayed (even through the god-awful construction next door). There was a lot of turnover in the last year after the new director started but things seem to have evened out now. Good luck!
