New to this rodeo? How many that purchased 2005-2006 are only now seeing the values of their homes approach what they paid at that time? A LOT! I think it is good advice and a reminder to not lose your head in this craziness that we have seen before.

Lost three back in 2001, before the boom back then. I can tell you at the time it hurt - badly. But, so many years later, it's clear we are in our perfect house. After years of building memories here, I can't imagine ourselves anywhere else. Hang in there.

Five! And we got two counter offers we didn't accept and we trudge on. I agree I've gotten less emotional but when it comes down to waiting to hear back from the realtor you can't help but imagine it working out.

We just lost our second. It's brutal, because by the time we bid on a house we've already started picturing our family in it. Just wondering about other people's experiences and how long we might expect this to go on...
