Costco has organic ground beef. It comes to about $4.65 a lb. It used to be grass fed, but not anymore.

They also have some organic chicken offerings. Whole chickens are about $2.35/lb. Its a 2 pack of chickens. (TJs has a just slightly higher price per lb and you only have to buy one). Costco also has organic boneless skinless thighs for $3.99/lb and boneless skinless breasts (I don't buy so don't know the price.)

I think lamb is always grass fed and costco sometimes has great lamb chops for about $7/lb.

And if you're into the grass fed thing, you might like Kerrygold butter, which is available at Costco. Price is about $4.50/lb. The butter is awesome.

I live in PG and have been to that Wegmans, but only once. It was too big for me! And that is really something considering that I am fine with Costco.

Hedgeapple farms up in Frederick. I think they come to the SS farmers market.

I can't remember the name but there's a meat CSA available at the market in Silver Spring, or at least there was last year. Ask at the info table and they should be able to tell you.

If you are willing to buy a lot of frozen meat at once, you can get a part of a cow through West Wind Farm in the late summer/fall (they sell smaller amounts during the year).

I like Mom's in Rockville. You could also get delivery through Washingtons Green Grocer.

OP again, how is Wegmans in PG? I feel like I've seen a good selection at good prices there? I'd drive that far (20 mins from me.)

I'm in the 4 corners area (beltway and Colesville).. where are the best, closest places with the best prices for grass fed and organic meats around here? I'm open to stores, markets, farms, etc. Thanks! Again, looking for the best prices.
