I have been told that some agencies that provide grants are taking the cuts by reducing grants meaning my organization is taking the brunt of it because no one at the agency is getting even one furlough day. We don't yet know how this will impact us since we haven't been told the exact amount of the cut to our grant, but we expect it to be more than 5% since the agency isn't taking a cut on its salaries, that money has to come from somewhere. We just got a vague sequestration notice filled with doom and gloom.
