PP^^ The darker color will not hurt your hair.

Just go back. This happens a lot. They know just what to do. Mine does that from time to time. It will be OK.

You can do that. I did that once. My hair was damaged after, more like dry, not horrible. Then I just didnt color for a while till the condition improved.

I had been seeing a colorist (@tysons to the poster above!) who over-highlighted and then tried to fix it by changing my all over color completely! I am so lucky my friend who does hair moved up here, she gave me a lot of advise and helped to fix my hair - I took awhile to get it completely corrected (even though toner and low-lights can help significantly in the mean time!)

Definitely go back, and then maybe find a better colorist!! DO NOT TRY AND FIX IT YOURSELF, only bad will come of it!

Definitely don't do it yourself. I just had mine corrected but it sounds like they were worse than yours. I went back to a different colorist at the same salon, and she added some lowlights and a toner. It looks much better but still not what I wanted. At least I don't have to wear a hat anymore!

No - it was a salon in Alexandria (I just can't name it; I feel too bad). I think I like my colorist, but my husband reminded me last night that I've been unhappy before. (Never this bad though!)

That sucks, OP. That happened to me with a new colorist a few years back. I didn't get it fixed right away and hated it for too long. Finally we did fix it (with toner and low-lights, but if you do it right away just a toner will do a lot) but I really just should have gone right away.

Was this a colorist at a Tysons salon by any chance? Wonder if it's the same person...

OP here. They are so heavy - it looks like she just did all over color. I'll put on my big girl pants and call. I am hating this

Yes! I've had too-light highlights and gone back. They toned it down for free.

Call the salon and go back, they will fix it and should do it for free. It happens, you sometimes get a delayed reaction or see the color job better after a first wash. I've had this happen and went back and they added low lights tntone it all down. Good luck!!

And it's likely that the brown box job will not cover the light blonde well and you'll get even weirder color. I've seen way too many brown box jobs on blondes turn greenish. Go back to the salon!!!

Go back to the salon! Seriously. They hate disappointed clients and will gladly correct. Don't worry about being seen as picky or confrontational. Any marginally decent stylist will correct it for you.
