Just wondering if this is happening. (We will not be sending our 4-year-old on a metro bus alone to school across town.)
And I agree about the in-boundary school....we just feel we have to explore this option, as we have recently moved and then applied many months ago and forgot about it. Feel the need to decide quickly so I'm not "holding a spot" for another child.
Honestly, if you applied and forgot out about it, (and I'm not even sure which school you forgot about applying to from this post), you should really go to the school you already were very interested in. Those are both fantastic schools, and it is definitely commendable that you're trying to make your decision so you can tell the other school you're not coming.
But if one of those schools is that much of an afterthought that you forgot you applied, you should go to whichever you actually were interested in. You'll find away to make it work, whichever it is. Me, I WISH I lived IB for Janney... but my IB school sucks. And as someone on the waitlist of several schools, if I'm going to lose the lottery anyway, I hope it's to parents who were actually really excited/charged up about the slot they accepted. You are free to choose based on whatever criteria you choose, but since this is a public message board and all... that's my .02cents.
