OK, just checked, the area south of Dennis goes to Flora Singer ES. I think the area south of Dennis is nicer than north of Dennis. I don't know about neighborliness. You should compare the two schools, Flora Singer vs. Glen Haven and see what you think.

That being said, I know one family in that area whose children go to Glen Haven and they love the school. But at the same time I don't read much about that school on DCUM or the moms listserve in Silver Spring.

Well, I used to live North of Dennis, East of Ga and South of Univ Blvd. It was not in the neighborhood called glenview, it was in a neighborhood called Chestnut Hills which was a bunch of townhouses off of Lester Street. So I guess there are many neighborhoods in that geographic zone. What is the school zoned for the address? Is Glen Haven ES the school.

Glen Haven was my ES in Chestnut Hills, but I didn't have a kid.

This is the area just east of Georgia, north of Dennis, South of University, and west of Sligo Creek Pkwy. What the community like? Schools? Safety? Amenities? I have heard that south of Dennis there is a nice sense of community. Is this the case for this neighborhood too?
