I ordered some "I found the Afikomen!" stickers and put in an image of matzoh. I had the idea early this year and so bought two pages (40 stickers) for the next couple of years. My kid set is younger than yours, and I couldn't stomach the idea of getting little presents (like gift bags, stuff I stress over and lasts two minutes before being tossed). GL.

Ended up grabbing little lip glosses for small girls and cash for 8 and up. I'm definitely doing the money origami next year, though.

To make it different from the sedar the night before, we appointed a leader of the kids, once they found it, who negiotiated the prize for matzo switch with the adults.

At our house the kids trade the afikomen for dessert, which frankly they would've gotten anyway, and they know it. But the afikomen finder gets to choose which dessert to start with. No one seems to find it not fun. But the ring idea does sound cool.

I'm at work today. Just a crazy time to do sedar. (Worked all Saturday; cooked all Sunday; up to midnight last night setting table)

When I was growing up, one kid found afikomen and got a silver dollar. Now, it seems much more elaborate at the sedars I've been to with everyone getting a prize. I don't even think I need to do prizes, as the littlest ones all got something last night. I have about 2 hours at home before guests come, so I could throw something together. I just can't make another trip to the store (I'll have stuff cooking the whole time)

If you don't have time to shop, I assume you don't have time to throw together a scavenger hunt? Unless your problem is not being able to leave the house to buy anything. For a prize, just do cash. $5 if the 4 year old wins, maybe $20 if the older kid does.

Hosting 2nd night sedar tonight, and I've been going nuts with work and or shaming. There will be 8 kids there. Sister hid individual afikomens for each kid and had a present for each. I'm trying to come up with something to make it a little fun. I don't have time to shop! Any creative ideas? Kids range from 4-12.
