I am the enthusiastic Quorn poster. I think, if you have potential food allergies, you need to be careful of ANY processed food - no reason why Quorn would be worse than anything else, unless you weren't thinking about the mushroom angle.

Check out the Loma Linda / Worthington products. Some are wheat based rather than soy.

Quorn is awesome and so delicious. Soy and dairy free, it's mycoprotein which is some sort of mushroom-like protein. Love love love it. Yum!

The problem with the vegetarian fake meats is that most of them use tons of soy and tons of gluten (wheat protein). Neither are good for you in those quantities. There is something called a sunshine burger that has better ingredients. you can find it at whole foots.

I heard that quorn uses no soy but has some weird issues with the ingredients. Any other suggestions? And is wheat protein (seitan) a lot better for you? Thanks.
