The parent of that child I think is drama, because the bus driver refers to her as "the crazy lady" ... And the teacher said she would say something but won't tell her it's me, that's been complaining about her child so I won't need to hear her drama.

I would talk to the parents. I would be nice unless they had drama. Either get your kid in check or I will do it for you. There is no way in hell I would allow a 3 year old to be bullied.

What is the principal supposed to do about someones bad ass like kid? I could see talking to the teacher as a first step though.

Administrators are 12 month employees who get 4 or 5 weeks vacation to be taken at various times during the year. Most administrators are indeed in school buildings for at least a few days over Spring Break. Believe me, it's a chance to get a lot accomplished!

As I understand it -- if you fill out the form and turn it in, there is a procedure that the principal has to follow.

I'm so sorry to hear your child is going thru the same thing. It saddens me that they would have this type of behavior at such a young age, isn't preK suppose to be the fun school... It's shocking!

I'm still waiting for the principal to call, if he doesn't I will send an email or letter. So I have documentation.

This really frustrates me because this boy will be in the same public school with her again in kindergarten!

My DD is a very quite, shy child, she doesn't tell the teacher what she's feeling, or whatever people do to her. She only speaks out when at home. When the boy hits her or name calling she's just quite and won't say anything back... That's why I'm so concerned...

I wouldn't be so worried if she wasn't the "holding everything in" type, if she can just tell the boy to back off I wouldn't be as frustrated. No one has told this boy to stop what his doing, not even the teacher even though they know what's going on... She says she would back me up all the way when we speak to the principal, but the secretary wouldn't even make the appointment for me, she says I should talk to him before we make an appointment!!

Sorry to hear about this OP. Our DS is being bullied/teased, too. There's a kid in his class who regularly calls him "stupid" and pushes him and grabs things my DS is playing with and runs away. DS happens to be the smallest kid in the class and is 11.5 months younger than the other kid who is also about a head taller.

I REALLY, REALLY wanted to talk to the teacher but I didn't because my DH thought our DS wasn't terribly upset about this but just annoyed. DH is all for kids working things out on their own. So we basically had a few talks with DS telling him he's not stupid and that it's not nice to call people that and that pushing/shoving/grabbing is also not nice. Luckily, this worked for our DS because even though the bullying continues our DS reports back when it happens that he just tells the other kid "Stop teasing me. I'm not stupid and it's not nice to say that." or "Stop pushing me. That's NOT NICE."

Not sure this is particularly helpful but just wanted to let you know you're not alone and that it was also shocking for me to find this kind of behavior in preK. It's been a real change from the 2s/3s classes where all the kids were just the sweetest.

Btw, your principal sounds terrible. Can you send something in writing? An email explaining your concerns?

My DD has been harassed by this boy, at first he called her B@&$# on the bus, I started to drive her to school for about 2mos, she was on the bus again to go to school, another incident with the boy, my DD comes home telling me he pulled her hair, and so I told her to sit as far away from him as possible and when I can I would drive her to school. The third incident was at school he pushed her.

By the way after each incident I would tell the teacher so she knows what's happening.

After he pushed her I told the teacher and she said to talk to the Principle, so I came to the school, the secretary said he was busy, left my number and he called 5mins before 5pm, called him right back and he didn't pick up. Called the next day, she says his busy with someone, called again his in a meeting. He hasn't called me back.

I think his just trying not to deal with this issue! It's making me frustrated!!
