Not a CPA. I guess I am more like a male than I thought. However this client has bitched to others in my organization too, so she is on a tear. I don't buy that she isn't angry, and she has NO CAUSE to be. She's just acting like an entitled cunt. I won't cry when she takes her business elsewhere.

Are you a CPA? I am and I feel like that these days. I always make my mental list of which shitty clients this time if year. 99.9% of them are good, but there are always a few that are not worth it and funny how it comes to a head when you are working 12 hour days.

It is not worth getting angry about. If she doesn't expect you to do anything in response, there is no need to give it futher thought.

I use that phrase for two types of situation:

1) What happened didn't piss me off, but might piss off others, so I'm letting you know. No skin off my nose what you do with the info.

2) What happened pissed me off, but wasn't your fault, don't feel like you have to comp me something for it.

Not every situation needs a solution. That's a very male perspective. Sometimes people are just reporting in.

Try saying something like "Thanks for the update; I have logged this information and will check back with you soon. In the mean time, have a great weekend."

If that were true, she wouldn't have included the zingy, accusatory language that she did. I am also a woman, so not sure what the other PP was trying to suggest about gender dynamics. It's true that I am a woman who doesn't suffer a catty bitch gladly.

One of my clients sends me an email to say, hey, I just wanted you to be aware of this situation. I pry for details and get a few, then respond with feedback and an offer to resolve the problem. I get a response saying yeah, I tried your solution, and I really just wanted you to know, and "I'm not trying to get into an email argument over it."

WTF? Why are you bitching then? If you're not willing to arrange a phone call and discuss the problem with me so that I can try to fix it, what is your motive?

I guess I don't really expect answers. I just find this behavior so fucking frustrating. I HATE people like this in my personal life, avoid them like the plague, and the older I get, the less patience I have with them at work. What I really want to say is, then fucking go somewhere else. You're a small contact anyway so your bitching and complaining is not worth it to me, since your goal seems to be partly to waste my fucking time.
