Two others leave clothes, shoes, and gym bags strewn around their desks (Everyone has cabinets for their personal belongings.) You literally have to step over their crap to use the microwave or get to a file cabinet.

Bosses see and hear this stuff and do nothing. Bringing it up would just make you a "tattle-tale."

Seems they are all ill-mannered and sloppy, not necessarily rude. But I understand, and also would feel disgusted and annoyed.

Not to mention, who is to say you don't have habits that annoy your coworkers? It's possible you're just not aware of them.

I have a similar setup (cubicles), and I have a coworker who is always complaining about the others ("so and so makes weird noises" or "so and so is always on the phone").

I have never had the heart to tell her that she makes noises when she eats, her constant laughter (from looking at online stuff) sometimes interferes with my work, and she is constantly making noises opening and closing her bottle of soda.

The point is, we all make some kind of noise and have habits. When you work in close proximity to other humans, there will be things that annoy you. Unless people are doing extremely inappropriate things (use your imagination), it's best to let the little stuff go. And clipping nails, gym bags... those are small things.

"Don, I am sorry to bother you, but I can hear you talking to your wife on the phone - and its so cute how sweet you are with her - but I'm totally getting distracted - would you mind being a bit quieter?"
