1. you should do more research. i recommend isa chandra moskowitz's blog and books. it's simply wrong to say that vegan diets are mostly soy-based. and it's also misguided to generalize about all soy. depends on how it's processed. not all soy is the same. so what you claim to happen to know isn't very much.

2. my comment wasn't hypocritical. you were a busy body by offering up dietary advice when that wasn't solicited. i called you on that. my comment wasn't in the same vein of busy body - sure, i'd have taken an accusation of bitchy (and embraced it in fact!), but busy body, not so much. like your vegan diet research skills and knowledge of all things soy, your grasp of basic English language is lacking. [in support of your lack of English skills I'd also highlight your inability to invoke the proper use of its and it's. look it up and see if you can't spot your errors.]

Look busy body, I've recently been researching the vegan diet and very many options are soy-based. I happen to know that too much soy is not good for the body. I never said don't follow a vegan diet. I simply recommend watching out for too much, particularly if you are relying on revolution foods, or another vendor, to make good dietary choices for your children.

My apologies if I've offended you, but I found your comment to be very hypocritical and even less useful than my own original comment. So, I had to call you on that. Deep breath, I know its hard to be revealed as a hypocrite, but you'll be just fine.

When my DC attended AppleTree (2 yrs ago) Revolution Foods provided vegetarian and vegan options.

If the vendor is Revolution Foods, I'd check their website.

And why exactly wouldn't it make more sense to call up the school or that vendor?

OP here - I'm seeking information because I'm assisting with selecting a vendor for a camp - the availability of vegan options has come up, as has the name of the vendor who supplies this school - and I thought I could get good intel here. But I guess this would not be DCUM if someone wasn't nasty in reply!

Not the OP, but it's not completely unreasonable to ask the question, assuming that the people who answer might actually know something about it. Yes, you can call, but is being told "Yes, there is a vegan option" the same as knowing what it is from a parent whose kid ate it? By your logic, most of the posts on this forum shouldn't exist.
