Still not sure why it's so low. Someone is home literally 24/7, and no one is careful about our electric consumption. We have electronic devices plugged in and on all day, and two old fridges. I tried to get everyone to be better about it for years but gave up since the bills are so low anyway (in the winter).

I guess those CFL bulbs are a miracle.

Again, no complaints, just surprised. I guess it makes up for all our other bills being insanely high.

2100 sf townhouse, all electric. Bills run from $80 (in months like April and October when neither the heat or ac comes on) to a one time bill of $170 during this last cold snap. Usually around $130. However, this imcluded the water and sewer protection plans, so, electric alone is probably alround $20 less per month.

Last owner put on new roof and new windows, insulated a lot. I put in new water heater and lots of LED lights.

Have 1500sf house. electric about $120/month. I hate being cold in the house and I refuse to walk around with big bulky sweaters on so I keep the heat at 75. In summer I hardly ever turn on A/C (again I hate the cold), so it has to be about 90 degrees in house before I turn on the A/C and then only to sleep comfortably. Bill in summer is about $45.

1500 sq ft, 4 people in a 4 unit condo and our last bill was $270. We keep the heat between 66 and 68 but the whole house is electric. We think it's the new dryer that takes FOREVER to dry things that add a ton to our bill. And it was a $1400 dryer.

5BR 5700 SQRFT, $300-380 in the winter, HVAC is gas on the first level but Electric HVAC Upstairs and Electric Water heater.

Ours has been about $300 a month this winter, however we don't have gas, so in addition to the usual subjects, we heat (and cool) the 4,000-square foot house with electricity. It's kind of a drag. But on the other hand, in my old (somewhat smaller) house during the winter we'd get $250 gas bills in the cold months. I desperately need an energy audit.

Yeah, thats LOW. We are a family of 4. 2500 sqft. lights off in rooms when not using them. typical applicances, 3 TVs, one computer and one lap top. no one is home between 8-4. Our electric is around $150.

During the winter (when we don't have to use air conditioning), our electric bill only runs about $50-70.

We do use CFL bulbs but aren't particularly careful about energy consumption. We also have an electric dryer and do tons of laundry.

My bills seem so low. I live in a good size house and am paying less for electric than I used to in apartments 20 years ago.

What are your electric bills like? I'm literally starting to think the meter is broken, but I'm not complaining!
