Nearly every skin infection you can get is a kind of staph. MRSA is a kind of staph that is resistant to antibiotics. Most staph infections are not MRSA. I would worry about it being MRSA unless it doesn't respond to home treatment.

It's obviously some kind of skin infection - infected hair or boil or something. Home treatment for either is putting a warm washcloth on it for 15 minutes at a time to draw out the infection. If it opens up, you can pour apple cider vinegar or alcohol on it and then put Neosporin on it.

Wash your hands and your clothes after any contact with it.

If you pop it it will relieve pressure and you will feel better. Just use a sanitizes needle.

Hot baths with plenty of epsom salts. If you're a squeezer, your in for a treat!

I had one that lasted a year. It was gross, gone now though!

+1 ingrown hair. google it. I think hot compresses (hot moist face cloth) helps, but I can't remember why. I had one once and it went away on its own in about a week.

Put aside your embarrassment and check it out. I know a girl who died in her 40s because of sarcoma cancer that started as a lump on her leg.

On the very inside of my upper thigh, there is a ... thing. It's right at the edge of where my pubic hair starts, but it's not from waxing or shaving. I don't know what it's officially called, but I want to say it's a boil for some reason. I do not have health insurance but even if I did I might be too embarrassed to go to a doctor for this. It's raised, swollen, and anything that touches it, from pants to the other thigh, hurts. The very tip seems to have liquid in it, but there's no way I could pop it.

How can I make this swollen mess go down/go away, and stop hurting? Is it too much to ask if there's anything I can do to make it never come back? Thank you.
