Oh, Mr. Bernanke is already on record saying he'd tax savings acounts, if he could. He can't, thank God (and the constitution).

It's so crazy, if you'd just told me this I'd assume it was something you made up or read in a fiction novel.

The idea that a government would steal 10% of my savings...savings I've already paid taxes on, is terrifying. So the idea is to punish people who have tried to save and plan for the future so that people who live beyond their means can be bailed out? I'm no econ expert...just reacting to what I'm reading. Thoughts? Why shouldn't I withdraw my liquid savings from my bank and keep it in my freezer? Scary times.
