I don't know anyone in this area, but just wanted to say I'm so sorry.

We've been through it, I know it is not easy. I am so sorry for your loss.

When the vet comes to the home, they also arrange for cremation. They take care of everything.

And forgot to say - I'm so sorry. Agreed, losing a pet can be very much harder than you expect.

I think this is easier to set up (though harder to endure) if you book ahead. We just called our regular vet practice, and they set us up for a couple of days ahead. It was hard to wait, but our cat wasn't suffering greatly so it worked fine.

Doing it at home is SO much easier.

OP- thank you for the resources. Thank you for the kind words. This is really a lot harder to do than I was expecting. Thanks again.

I have heard very good things about this service, but don't know their regular hours. So very sorry about your dog.

Try Wholistic Paws - Dr Kristi Erwin. She's in VA.

Meant "your" instead of "you're"

I'm in Maryland, so I don't know someone specifically in your area (although I do know of a vet in Maryland who makes house calls, but she's located too far away). But if you need someone to do it today, you're best option is to call a 24 hour vet emergency hospital and ask them if they have (a) any vets on staff that will come to your house or (b) know of any vets who have a home practice.

I hope you're able to find someone. And I'm sorry for your loss.

I am looking for a mobile vet to come to my home to euthanize my dog. I have looked on line and no one is open on Sunday (in Fairfax). She is 14 1/2 years old and the time has come. Does anyone know of a mobile vet I can contact? Thanks.
