Looks like 27 or so per K at our neighborhood school if enrollment looks like last year. The local parochial caps at 25 with a FT aide for kindergarten. Tough decision to make now. I don't know if that difference is worth the money or not. The late start time for the neighborhood school is problematic for us too.

Our school K's are 20-22 per class.

If you look up the school on www.schooldigger.com there is a tab called students and you can see the student to teacher ratio for that school.

I am finding at least for our elementary school, the ratio is less than the local religious private schools.

Thanks for the link 22:11 - this is really helpful.

Ugh, 12:04, 34 per class in 3rd grade is terrible I feel bad for that teacher and bad for the kids.

I think you have to get the info directly from the schools. Our principal does a presentation and breaks down the class size. We've seen class sizes at over 30- max 34 and that was 3rd grade. Not good.

This link may help you i found it when i was trying to see how many children would be in my daughter class next year. Looks like the school she will attend will average about 29 kids if the enrollment is similar to last year.
http://www1.pgcps.org/pasb/index.aspx?id=20160 if the site does not work go under their website and type in student enrollment and you will find the link.

I've seen several posters reference how to find the class sizes for a given school in MoCo. Is there something similar for PG County? I've looked at the links for each school that show things like FARMS and test scores and such, but I'm not seeing class sizes. Any help would be appreciated!
