OP asked what the concerns were, the lack of immersion is obviously a concern for this parent. It's not that CM is falsely advertising immersion, but if immersion is important to you then that might be a reason you leave if you got a spot.

I'm not the PP you're referring to, so maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I read this.

But it's not a "negative" of the school. It's not as if they enrolled then were surprised and disappointed upon arrival. If immersion is important to you, great. But don't say it the lack of immersion is a negative for a school that clearly isn't an immersion school

Sounds pretty good to me. No real concerns.

Why would they offer language immersion? It's not an immersion school.

Haha. Wow. This could be any number of DCPS or charter schools (including my child's). If this is their worst, they're doing very well.

Better to have young energetic smart teachers than bitter, exhausted unmotivated ones who are just counting the days to retirement.

Watch out Creative Minds families . . . we have the negatives. Our demands must be met.

Absolutely - but there are also pluses that come with young teachers, but there is a learning curve - and their staffing model doesn't allow for a lot of support for these young teachers, or that may how it looks from the parent outside looking in view.

Some people who are not "sold" are holding out for Cap City, EL Haynes etc... Not going to happen!

Poor classroom management in some classes; weak organization in central operations; no language immersion; aftercare feels like afterthought.

It doesn't bother me but I have heard some people complain about the lack of outdoor space.

We have heard a lot of detail on how great the school is and a few people commenting that they will probably go back but were not sold. What are the concerns, criticisms of current parents?
