Thanks, these are great! Other thoughts I had; stir fry with rice (and yes, I know about the soy sauce), enchiladas with corn tortillas (no cheese), summer pudding with gluten free cake mix.

I'm pretty sure I don't need to worry about cross contamination, though. This isn't a life-threatening allergy situation. (Also, eggs are fine, but thanks for the tofu scramble idea!)

Whole Foods has a GF bakery--not sure what is dairy free.

For dinners, it's pretty simple--roasted meat, side veg, polenta, quinoa, rice are all good options.

I've made GF eggs benedict b/f--instead of an english muffin I used a tomato slice dipped in cornmeal and fried in the skillet. topped with canadian bacon and poached egg. can be a little labor intensive if you have a lot of people

steel cut oat meal with fruit:

they also have gf pancake mix

grits is also yummy for breakfast

Tofu scramble is a nice egg replacement, use a little turmeric to get the yellow color. I was in Trader Joe's a few weeks ago and they were giving out chocolate pudding samples. It was made from silken tofu ( the unrefrigerated one in the box) and a bag of chocolate chips. The pudding was so good I made some the same night. Blended the tofu with my stick blender and melted the chocolate in a double boiler, mixed it together and let it chill. My children never even suspected it was tofu.

Saute potatoes, onions, (mushrooms), apples - nice and safe, for breakfast or anything. Add quinoa for a filling side dish, pretty quick and easy (but dull by itself).

Ground nuts (walnuts, almonds) to add to egg white for meringues, or to anything for more taste and body.

Vegetable soup - onions, tomatoes, and beans or whatever else.

Meat or fish - just plain, or broiled with vegetables; pan-fried chicken with a cornmeal coating.

Beware vinegar and soy sauce, which contain hidden gluten.

Only malt vinegar contains gluten. All other vinegars are fine - the glisten us eliminated in the distillation process.

Beware of cross contamination. Wash everything and wipe your counters thoroughly before cooking for them. Including the pots and pans and their lids.

Oh and if you're using sugar and other ingredients make sure you buy new for their food. You don't want to put sugar in their dish that has trace of gluten because you dipped a spoon with weat in it 5 weeks ago.

Rice beans meat and a salad yum! Bread stuff with quinoa instead of bread crumbs.
For breakfast do sausage links bacon and fruit salad with fresh squeezed orange juice.

A family member is coming to visit for a few days and is on a gluten free diet. Does anyone have any good recipe or meal ideas? Especially breakfasts ! All my gf breakfasts are full of cheese.
