Wow - These are cheap. I paid $23.00 for 30 minute walk in Bethesda. They had a key to my house.

Since we have a multi-generaltional house and there is almost always a family member home to walk the dog, I only needed a dog-walker for about two months when our parents were out of town. We walked her in the morning, and I used school aged kids for after school and they came very cheap (my neighbors' kids!). But it was that noon walk that I needed a professional because all the kids were at school.

We used A Walk in the Park. They were good and trustworthy - but obviously expensive!

Does the dog walker have a key to your house?

If it's that cheap, does that assume either a teen or a profession dog walker, who'd have several dogs at once?

$15 may be on the low side. I used to pay $17 in Loudoun 5 years ago. It was a professional as opposed to a teen.

Not the OP but also in the Bethesda area. Any good leads for a dog walker in this area?

Yep. $10-$15 per walk. We get about 30-45 minutes for the walk. I would ask how long they would walk your dog and also, if you want, you could lay out the path that you want them to walk (to ensure that they walk the full time).

We are in the Chevy Chase/Bethesda area, looking to hire a dog walker. What can we expect to pay per walk? What questions should we ask a prospective dog walker? Thanks.
