I was in your same position two weeks ago. Really sick but too scared to take anything, so I didn't. Now, two weeks later, I have a bad sinus infection and I just got my period. Kind of wish I had tried to nip it in the bud sooner, especially now that I know i wasn't even pregnant. I will also say, though, when I finally went to the doctor and expressed my concern, my nurse practicioner also said it was fine to take medicine that early in the game.

good luck!

My RE, OB/Gyn and GP have all told me that it's ok to proceed as normal until a BFP. I think you are ok to take some meds. Good luck!

Go ahead and take something. Many people take things without realizing their pregnant and things work out fine. I had a night out of wine and cigarettes before realizing I was pregnant with DD - who is totally fine developmentally (pretty smart, actually).

I just ovulated, according to cervical mucus, bbt, and OPK. With any luck, we timed things correctly and maybe I'm pregnant. I am also sick.. Sore throat, aches, sinus congestion, feel awful. I have been doing nasal sinus rinse, head over steaming bowl of water, etc. can I take Advil or Advil cold and sinus? The nurse at my GP's office said it was fine, but I'm not sure. If conception occurred, wouldn't this be a very vulnerable time to be taking meds?

We are TTC again after two m/c and I am afraid to do anything to harm the (possible) embryo. But I'd like to do something to get rid of these aches.
