TSP now offers "lifecycle funds"-- based on your retirement date you can put all your money into one fund (L 2030, say) and TSP will figure out what they think is the best allocation among the other TSP funds for your age, and slowly adjust the allocation as you get older (you can see the allocations at different time periods on the website).

I agree that past performance tells you nothing. Do one of the L Funds (target date) if you don't know what you are doing.

It's pretty easy to get return info for the last 10 years, but before that it's a little harder.

I have been a fed for 16 years. Is there any way to dermine what would have been the best allocation of funds over those years? I've been in C fund 100% the entire time.
