We are signed up for Spiral Path again this year. So happy they got a slot at the Sunday Bethesda farmers market this year. I love it and I really like the family, which makes it even nicer.

I plan meals around the veggies we get and it has very much expanded our repertoire. You can do only a summer share or a longer share that goes April to December. You can also choose a large or medium share. We have 2 adults and 3 small kids and he medium share works just fine for us.

We had Spiral Path for a couple of years but I think it's great to get local, direct-from-the-farm produce through a CSA even if it's not certified organic.

Spiral Path definitely was cheaper than buying the same food at WF, but I wouldn't really say it saved me money, so it might depend on whether you really plan to use all the produce every week.

I am a longtime member of Spiral Path CSA, which is all organic. I fail to see the point of joining any CSA that is not USDA certified organic, you could get those veggies anywhere for less hassle. CSAs can work for you if you can make the weekly pickup and if you are comfortable enough in the kitchen to find recipes to prepare unfamiliar items. In our case, the location is convenient and what I spend per week is less than what I would spend at Whole Foods for the same organic food.

We have Norman's too and it's fantastic bathe prices have gone up a dollar or two a week (you have to pay up frot for te number of weeks in 8 week seasons). But it's still a good deal, the produce is local and in season. I appreciate being able to pick out my box and not just getting stuck wins vegetable I don't know or don't like to cook.

Absolutely love Norman's Farm Market. The produce is always fresh and flavorful with quite a variety of choices. They allow you to choose what you want to take for your share rather than the traditional CSA box method. We did a large share which is fine for a family of 4. Also somewhat unusual for a CSA, they have fruit as a part of your weekly share. In the time since we joined (4 years ago), they have added a number of different pick up sites around Montgomery County. I believe you can join and pay for your membership on their website.

Does anyone participate in a CSA? Do you like it? Has it been a good deal for you? And can you recommend your CSA?
