Exactly!
I look at threads via Recent Topics, so I'll see your thread no matter where you post it. I'd bet many DCUMers use the Recent Topics feature...so just put your thread where it belongs!
Why do you think this complaint was better suited for off-topic than website feedback?
Do agree that sometimes a post could fit more than one forum and there's a gray area; if my post fell into that category and Jeff moved it, then I suppose I might post on website feedback with a request that it be returned. Can't hurt to (politely) ask.
No, most people do NOT look at recent topics or same kind of topics would get the same amount of traffic. You put a "how long did take you to conceive at age 40" on GP, you will GET much more answers than if you put it on TTC or infertility for example.
Or, if you ask for a restaurant recommendation in OT, it will give you more answers quickly than on the food forum...
And finally, if everyone is looking at recent topics, what is the point of having different forums? They are all mixed up on RT anyway....

It also helps keep multiple threads from going on in different forums - there was a "What is your mortgage rate" question in Off-Topic today where there is at least one of these per week it seems in the Real Estate forum and there now have been some in the new Money forum. FWIW I always use Recent Topics so I will always see things that way, and I do report things that obviously have a more suitable forum.
