I am the one that told you abou meassr. I ended up fostering. I was about to give him up but had to keep him. No he wasn't my ideal choice in my mind but he rocks. I started wanting a girl who was bench bred. Ended up with a male who is a field/bench. He is a great dog. I hope you get yours. I have had a good experience with them. Transport help is a way to help. Fostering too.

I'm 2253

I am a transport volunteer with maessr as well.

There are several great breeders in the area but there are a couple which do very minimum with the dogs.

I'd agree that you should check out MAESSR. I volunteered with them for a number of years, although I didn't learn about rescue until I'd already gotten my springer from a breeder in Lynchburg, VA.

There are some supposedly great breeders in both VA and MD if you don't want to go for a young adult dog.

I am on the wait list to adopt from Maessr…

I know of a couple good breeders but they often sell for 1200- 2000 a puppy.

I will check back in a day or two to see if you respond.

Anyone know of a Springer available? Love this breed and with kids older can finally get another. Looking for a female, liver and white, not a senior. Or anyone know of a good breeder of them locally?
