Thanks! I'm surprized private schools don't use it. Or perhaps they do follow the sequence, but develop their own curriculum.

The core knowledge curriculum is used at Lyles Crouch Traditional Academy, a public school in Alexandria.

I just discovered this curriculum and I love it so much, I would leave our public school for a private school in the area that uses it. The core knowledge website indicated that there are 13 schools in DC that are core knowledge school, but only listed 3-- and those 3 are charter schools in inconvenient neighborhoods.

Any idea what private schools follow the sequence or use the curriculum?
