Debit cards don't have the protections of credit cards. If you lose it and someone uses it fraudulently, you are not as protected.

I think you should learn some self-control and use a credit card and/or just use cash.

I suggested to DH that he give me a monthly stipend on a debit card so that we can stop using the credit card. Any suggestions on a good one? We have one through our local bank but I'd like a separate one not linked to our joint checking.
