Thanks for the laugh, you have such a great attitude! I'm really hoping this time is it for you.

I'm sorry OP, but I too hope this one works for you. I wasn't giving up either, and thankfully had success at last.

OP here - we are on our third egg donor and second gestation surrogate. And there is no male factor at play, beyond age. We have just had done bad luck. Our first gestation surrogate had unexpected personal problems that probably affected those two cycles. We missed the opportunity to use non-frozen embryos with the second DE because of a miscommunication about medication. And the one time we used non-frozen DE embryos, we had a miscarriage.

But, head up and looking forward.

OP, that actually happened to us also. One egg donor got pregnant, one did not stim correctly, one was a share that really did not work out. Crazy. Then on the final, and I do mean final try, we got pregnant with twins. Evertyhing went smoothly after that. I am so sorry this happened to you. It was awful! very sorry about the miscarriage, too.

To OP: You have such a great attitude! And you're so right about it being a marathon. There are certainly days when I'm just exhausted by this whole process. But you gotta keep the end goal in mind, right?

Best of luck with the next round and let us know how things are going. Fingers crossed for everyone out there!

^^ we noticed in our group (100 people) that the gestational using OE were very fragile. In our case, there were genetic problems coming from both sides --we found this out long afterwards. Our twins are normal, but their genetics have markers which are not in play -- overwhelmed by the donor?.

There were two miscarriages. We have gone the spectrum. The last 4 cycles were using gestation surrogates. From a science point of view, things should have worked. But there is always that "chance" factor.

I don't want people to lose hope. We have not. Hopefully most people will not have that challenges we have encountered.
Just remember, it may be a marathon, not a sprint, so pace yourself.

Good luck OP. We've done 1 IUI and 3 IVFs - all BFNs. We're in the middle of our 4th IVF.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Just a vent, I guess. Never thought it would be this hard to get pregnant. I know I'm preaching to the choir.
