That's personally why I like to get PTO better than sick days .

If your bosses knew you had the flu and asked you to work anyway your bosses are grade A shitheads

I was hoping to rest all weekend and be able to work on Monday, but with how I am feeling today I am not so sure I will be able to work. I work as a nanny for a really wonderful family who has no back up childcare or family in the area. The doctor at hospital told me to take it easy and follow up with my primary before going back to work. I don't know what to do. This isn't a situation where I can just call out for a few days. Would it be reasonable for me to contact them this evening or tomorrow and let them know how I am feeling? I have two weeks worth of PTO- but feel that it should be used with notice such as taking a vacation that's been planned for months. I don't want to lose my job...Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
