I would call a gal pal and head down to South Beach.

DH and I went to the ritz there for a child free getaway. It was ok, but felt very corporate and business like. The place was dead by 9:00 and no lobby bar or anything. It was so depressing. Solo might be different. I would find a more boutique hotel with a spa.

I would go to Canyon Ranch in Miami Beach. Whatever you decide I am sure you will have a wonderful time! Enjoy!

I stayed at the Boca Beach Club and loved it. More chichi than my usual choices, but utterly delightful.

I have an incredible opportunity to add 3 days to a conference in the Fort Lauderdale area for a solo retreat, my first few days away alone in 8 years. DH will be with our 2 kids and his parents. Any wonderful recommendations? i was thinking about treating myself to the Ritz, but wondered if it's in too busy a part of the area? Looked at Marriott Beach resort but wondered if it will be too many kids (something I'm trying to escape for just these 3 days). I am looking for total quiet, repelenish time...work out, read a book, very low key...thanks in advance!
