It's a nice area--adjacent to a National Park but very walkable (that is, if you are up for a 10-15 minute walk). Close to a few good restaurants and decent bus lines. It's also zoned for Eaton or Hearst, depending on where you are.
I would second PP re parking. Almost every week, people ask if there are any available spots for rent/sale. The upcoming Cathedral Commons will make street parking even worse than it is.
McLean Gardens is great, but this statement is no joke. Cathedral Commons will bring a few more retail options, which will be nice, but in terms of parking and traffic, McLG is kind of getting screwed. Our former local ANC councilwoman was such a cheeleader for the project that she wouldn't listen to suggestions. And once it got approved, she moved away!
