Hello there - does anyone know what the condo fee situation is? When was the last time the fee went up and by how much? And do you know if they will go up this year or next?

I'm told the all the roofs just got fixed and this year is Year 3 of a 10 year window restoration project.

This is a very nice loft! Great, safe neighborhood.

Does the same go for the Vaughan place condos (the ones that are privately owned).

I like living in McLean gardens. It's good location to everything is great. As for the condo fees, I think we get a good bang for the buck. After snowmageddon the maintenance crew shoveled all night long, sleeping on the floor of the McLean gardens office just so that the rest of us could have the comfort of walking trough. Our trash is picked up everyday and whenever I have a rare issue, then come quickly to fix or resolve it. So I think the condo fee I pay is worth it. Anything you buy in McLean gardens is worth it. It's the most square footage you will get for your money in the area. A bargain compared to other condos.

I would much rather live on the Connecticut Ave side of Cleveland Park.

Here's what I like about Mclean Gardens:

- It's beautiful with mature trees and Archbold forest, a little creek. It's where I walk my dog.
- It has a great community garden, and two tot lots
- We use the swimming pool in the summertime which is great
- We use the BBQ pits for get togethers with friends
- The people here are very nice. You get to know your neighbors for the most part.
- I like that it's sandwiched between Georgetown and Bethesda. Easy access to everywhere.
I like how close it is to the National Cathedral because we like going to events there and sitting in the gardens.
- Metro accessible.
- Peapod delivers groceries here! Which is great in the wintertime.
- We love being in the city but with a suburban feel.

What I don't like:

- Sometimes the parking is challenging. But you can rent a space.
- Sometimes people don't pick up their dog's poop!

Anyone would be happy here. The loft you are looking at looks renovated, which is a plus. This one says you have skylights too which people love. Good luck!

The biggest downside for me is that a bit of a hike to the metro.

We love the area and walk to everything. My husband and I ride the metro nearby and the bus to work. Very convenient and great for couples starting a family or people with pets. If you are looking at McLean Gardens, I say go for it. The loft you posted looks really nice compared to others I've seen.

Parking can be an issue, but we rarely use our car anyway.

I would second PP re parking. Almost every week, people ask if there are any available spots for rent/sale. The upcoming Cathedral Commons will make street parking even worse than it is.

McLean Gardens is great, but this statement is no joke. Cathedral Commons will bring a few more retail options, which will be nice, but in terms of parking and traffic, McLG is kind of getting screwed. Our former local ANC councilwoman was such a cheeleader for the project that she wouldn't listen to suggestions. And once it got approved, she moved away!

It's a great place. Walk to lots of restaurants such as 2 Amy's. lots of parks but close to bus lines. Great place to get a starter home, it's where we got our starter. Fond memories.

McLean Gardens is nice, but if you drive you will need a parking spot. Street parking is a problem.

I'm looking at some lofts that came on the market in McLean Gardens off of Wisconsin Ave. in NW DC.

Can anyone tell me what the area is like? Amenities and walkability? And let me know your thoughts on this particular condo www.381039th.com.
