That happened to me. One of my neighbors was determined to be my "friend". She was 15 years older, really religious, ect. For some reason, she thought I owed it to her? I was TTC at the time and she was an older mom who fostered babies. She kept bringing them over and expecting me to give her a big fuss over "her" babies. Oddest thing ever. Now that I think about it, I think a frenemy put her up to it -- wanting me to adopt one? So very odd. I was more open back then...
OP I think that people who force themselves on you are trouble.

TTC?

I doubt they're lining up for you.

You think a little too highly of yourself to be attracting that much interest and resentment over being spurned.

I know it's not my imagination. I make a point and tell people upfront that I am busy but as a SAHM mom some women don't get it. I don't mean to be standoffish but I just want to be friends through the kids and that is it. Anyone else experience this? I never take it personal the other way.
