Oh they get it, but they also get it that continual annual deficits of $1 trillion and a national debt of 16+ trillion is unsustainable. That's what democrats don't get.

I have no idea if it wil happen. I anticipate no short terms issues, but I expect longterm issues if it lasts.

People only like it when they need something from it - like disaster relief or social security. Other than that they really hate it, and federal employees especially.

I expect it to happen - but I think they will likely pass something not too long afterwards to amend it. That said - I am a fed and a single parent. So it could impact us. I have saved three months of living expenses although I hate to have to use them.
