I had a great experience with a resolve support group.

Here's another recommendation for checking out Resolve's website--there are several in my area of Fairfax County.

Also, check with your fertility clinic. I went to a support group for the first time last month through SG and had a very positive experience. I have a lot of friends, but infertility is a very lonely journey.

Lisa Eaves an acupuncturist in NW DC has a support group once a month. Her practice is called Heal from Within. I like Lisa even though I didn't see her for acupuncture. I saw someone else. She seems to have a calm presence.

There is a group called Resolve and they do have local meetings. At the time I was going through IVF, the ones closest to me were for couples and I was really looking for something for me (I personally would feel more comfortable spilling my guts out to a room full of women, but that is just my preference). They do have women only meetings, but none were convenient for me, so I ended up spilling my guts online in a group I cycled with (we all did). Just getting it out and dealing with others going through the same thing at the same time was incredibly therapeutic for me.

I belong to a national IF board and lots of people on their go to support groups. Does anyone know of any in the area?

Has anyone been to a support group for IF? I was just wondering what your experiences with it were.
