She or he will get your address to put you on the mailing list for the orientation nite where you will get your packet of forms and other info, in April or so. Although I have heard in some school districts with more FARMS kids they get the ball rolling much earlier.
This is interesting. It hasn't been my experience. Generally the schools with the lowest "FARM"s children are more stable and don't move around so much, so the early enrollment gives them a decent picture of what will be the total enrollment (not always of course). The schools with more at risk children tend to have the higher mobility rates (not counting schools where military dominates) so an early count would not tell them as much information.
