Because the interest would be INSANE! I'm the $30k poster and my interest was over $700 a month. I'm assuming they aren't paying that balance off monthly.

Three years ago it was $30,000. Due to the economy and being late in some payments the cards jacked my APR to 30%. So I was forced to turn my cards over to a company called Greenpath. They negotiate lower APR's and a payment plan. My APR's went down to 1% and in July all of my cards will be paid off. Best thing I ever did!!!! The catch is during my contract with GP I cannot use credit cards of any kind. I'm self-employed so the inability of using credit terrified me. And you know what, I've made it just fine without them. Haven't used a cc in three years and have no plans to use them even after my contract is over. It changes the way I spend for the better. I highly recommend it.

$32k - though a lot of it is now on fixed term payment plans at very low interest rates. hope to pay off a lot of it this year, now that DH is working again.

I need someone to make me feel like we are not the only family (5) struggling with this. We get it down it just creeps right back up and Christmas is bad. I try to save really do but it's not there.
