This doesn't even make sense. First of all, the OP asked about coordinating afterschool care- not usually something a sahp needs. Secondly, common sense indicates that a sahp schedule is more likely flexible enough to handle multiple school start times.

Just like another PP, I've been juggling kids in different schools for years. Daycare and elementary? What's the big deal? Guessing you're a SAHM.

Isn't that kind of different than what OP is asking... when they are in middle and HS, they don't require help getting ready in the morning and they don't need aftercare.

I have had kids in three different schools-HS, MS, and elementary. It really does work out, you don't even think about it after a while.

FWIW, our Center's non-AAP population is much poorer and more second-lang. learners than our base school... people generally don't pupil-place their non-AAP siblings at the Center.


You might need before care to juggle different start times.

It's not bad. My two kids have only been (and likely will only be) at the same school for one year. They are three years apart and, like the PP said, we just make it work.

Base school/preschool
Center/base school
Middle school/center...

It's really not that bad.

Is the AAP center open for transfers? You can request the non AAP child to go there based on child care hardship (I think)

FWIW, our Center's non-AAP population is much poorer and more second-lang. learners than our base school... people generally don't pupil-place their non-AAP siblings at the Center.
