You're 100% wrong. Patent attorneys must have technical degrees. That engineering degree put me head and shoulders above others when it came to law school admissions, court clerkships and top firm recruitment. Then the clients loved it because I understood their products. That engineering degree has paid for itself over and over and over. There's no getting here without it.

I agree. The listing is not a really good comparison, because the VT turns out engineering majors, which some of the other schools don't.

don't be so sure...I am in the IP industry where those engineers are doing waaaay better than the business majors.

It's probably because there are a lot of engineers that come out of Tech. I also know a lot of accountants and people in consulting that graduated from Tech. Those are all fairly high paying fields compared to English or Psychology majors.

Another list where UVA, W&M, vt and gmu lead Virginia's colleges. There's the top 4.

That's because engineers start out with higher salaries than business majors. After ten years (or so) the business majors tend to out earn the engineers. YMMV
