Exactly.

I give most people the benefit of the doubt. But her being a nanny is the first thing that makes me think she really was a troll.

Why doesn't it make sense? Nannies go to work. Working with kids doesn't mean you want your own.

Hard to believe a nanny would feel that way. Kind of confirmed my suspicions of why she was a troll. And if she wasnt, she still got some pretty good advice about following her instincts about giving her baby up for adoption and ignoring what her mother thinks.

I agree, PP, it is worrisome that she may have been pushed out of here when she was looking for help. Even some of the women who suffered from serious PPD, by their own account, were being cruel. Apparently now there's only one "right" way to have PPD. Is this a new low or what?

But I will admit, I am clueless about how people can suss out "troll" posts, so perhaps they had some insight I did not have.

I can believe her. I had almost the same experience with my second child. It took nearly a year to even form the slightest bond. I quit asking for help because nobody took me seriously. This is a great forum, but people are sometimes too quick to judge.

I removed the thread. The OP asked that it be removed and you all seem convinced she is a troll. Deleting the thread seemed like a much better solution that me reading 9 pages of messages. But, I can say that the OP is recognizable to me because she posts from a state that is not close by. I had some sort of issue with the poster in the past, but I don't remember what it was. I do know that she is a nanny and may also be a parent. I didn't read the thread in question so i can't comment on it beyond that.

Well, someone claiming to be OP is asking that the thread be deleted.

Yes, it's an obvious, obvious troll. I sometimes wonder how people fall for this stuff? I was reading through several pages just to see when someone would finally call troll. It makes me angry - playing on heartstrings and to what end? It's not that I can't imagine someone being in this situation, but I can't imagine someone being in this situation talking about it this way. AND, it makes no sense that neither her OB nor the therapist that she apparently has been going to all along aren't being more proactive about a woman who, after five months, has consistently said "nope, still don't love this kid." And she has not responded to advice. It's just obvious trolling and not even very good.

It's kind of long so I'll take a look when I can.

I also found the whole thing very weird.

Yes I was wondering about this too. It just rings not true to me.

Troll or no? The first post was convincing, but people have pointed out weird things - and someone mentioned a psych student who posts stuff to see the responses...
