Our investment 1099s are posted online.

I freelance and haven't received 1099s from clients in years. I just track income myself.

Our brokerage said Feb 15 as well. I believe that is the deadline they must make 1099s available, by law.

our brokerage said Feb 15. We can't even file until late Feb or early March, per the IRS -- they won't be ready to deal with our type of documentation. Crazy! Financial aid people want the return finished by Feb 19...

Generally you should get a 1099 for dividend or interest income if you earned more than $10, but I have had them come in February or even March.

I've had to call several banks to get my information.

Is anyone else finding they still haven't received many of the statements they need in order to do taxes? We usually have at least one come late, but I started our taxes last night and we're missing at least 5. Is this because of the last minute changes? Anything I can do?

Related question - For some of the investments that we're missing 1098/1099s, I'm wondering if we just didn't earn enough this year to cross some kind of threshold that even requires reporting. Is that possible?

Thanks.
