I am not a huge fan of Maggianos on an every day basis but they do a great job with banquets. My MIL hosted a bridal shower for me there - it was nice. I've been to a rehearsal dinner there too.

There are a lot of these. I know because I recently planned my son's bar mitzvah so I checked. It depends on what geographic region and how much you want to spend. Two I know of in Reston Town Center are Mon Ami Gabi and Il Fornaio.

Any recommendations? Bonus if it is vegetarian friendly and would be willing to do an appetizers/cupcakes and tea type reception on a saturday afternoon. I am planning a shower and this is REALLY difficult.
Alternatively, do you know of any reception hall type places that are affordable (most places I've heard of are wedding venues and therefore mega $$$$$).
