Dr Nevin at RHJN, she is absolutely amazing. I cannot even see where my scar is! Leave alone have had no complications whatsoever. She is great.

What defines "the best c section?"

Is it just the size of the scar? Lots of things might affect that. And presumably the health of mother and child are more important.

Speed? Precision? Bedside manner? Ambiance? Do tell. Then maybe some of us can help you.

+1

I agree, your phrasing is very odd.

Dr, Richard Footer, delivers at holy cross.

I think he did a great job on my c and the nursing and anesthesiology staff were top notch as well.

I second Dr. Khoury's group. I had Dr. Alcawatly (sp?) deliver my twins, my c-section is so small you can barely see it.

Dr Russell Bridges. My scar was practically non existant.

I don't think this post is weird at all. OP is having a C-section and wants a dr that is good at it. What's the big deal?

I'd be leery of having a c-section at WHC. The OB doctors that practice out of there are generally quite good, but they have some ongoing serious issues with nurse staffing. Considering the nurses are the ones providing the majority of care outside of the surgery itself, they are chronically understaffed and have had some high-profile "oopsies", it is something to think seriously about.

Anders Apgar at Shady Grove. My first was so easy and healed well. He moved hospitals a few years back and I couldn't follow him for my second and it was horrible. I'm with him again for my third. I'll let you know how it goes after next week.

Not WHC, but other doctors also commented on how nice my scar is, by Dr. Lightfoote. I've only had 1 c/s, so I can't really compare.

Dr. Johnson at Reiter Hill was awesome. Other doctors even comment on how awesome my scar is. If you know you are doing a c-section you can see the same doctor for all appointments.

Dr Downing FOR SURE. But I'm worried that he just moved hospitals. I heard that but haven't confirmed it. He's awesome.

Goooood night. I started a thread asking advice about a good OB and a delivery hospital and I get mid-wife advice.

That was my fault so I am starting the thread over. I am a mom of two. Now, we've found that we're having a 3rd kid - 6 years since the birth of the last one. I had an emergency c-section for my first baby, a failed VBAC for my second and, thus, my third will be delivered via scheduled c-section. Natural methods with mid-wives are not medically advisable options for me.

Regular appointments are important to me, but this is baby 3, I don't need a lot of hand holding. All I really need is a doctor who does a damn good c-section and will work closely with my endocrinologist on my hyperthyroidism.

If you absolutely LOVED your c-section OB, please consider sharing their name with me. I'd like to deliver the baby at Washington Hospital Center, so I'd especially love names from doctors with privileges there.

VERY MANY THANKS in advance!
