I don't know how much that translates to the classroom experience, but I also know that TCS is going to have to move within the next couple of years and I'm not sure that the administration has a good answer for when and where.

That said, it seems like a lovely program and I loved the way they integrate kids' interests into the curriculum.

Why will they have to move?

I have two children that have been through TPCDC and we've been very happy there. My kids still go there for after care. My kids were very prepared for K. The lead teacher in the Prek 4 class visits K at TPES every year to learn how those teachers are managing their classrooms and she starts to integrate those aspects in the second half of the year so it's not such a shock when they enter K. Curriculum is very play based but academic concepts are well integrated. Teachers are very warm and love the kids. Very little teacher turnover: great parent community.

My experience with TCS is that the administration is very organized and communicates well, the new Exec. Director has been there a year so isn't really new anymore. The lead teachers in bluebirds and stars are great as are the teachers (these are the 2 classrooms I've experienced so far) and my child has loved it.

Why did you pick one over the other? Are you happy with your choice? Do you feel your kid(s) was/were prepared for K? Thanks!
