They are like the "Cheesecake Factory" of cupcakes. I agree with you OP. I ate one once and was very sorry. God only knows how many calories are in one of those. Honestly, Safeway makes better cupcakes than Crumbs.

I think they are terrible. I remember buying one and being SO disappointed, I threw out the rest because I thought it would be wasted calories to finish.

Good question! I felt really ill the only time I ever had one. But americans like huge portions - that's why we are so obese.

FYI, Sweet Lobby in Capitol Hill makes normal sized, delicious cupcakes.

I have seen small cupcakes at Crumbs.
Personally, I prefer the big ones, myself=)
I do not think they are "that" huge.

No idea, but they are huge. I've only tried one flavor (the ubiquitous red velvet) and didn't care for theirs. Gobs of sickeningly sweet frosting and dry, bland cake. They are close to my office, too, and I wanted to like them.

There's a Crumbs near my office and I would love to get a cupcake...but can't justify buying a cupcake that would feed a family of 4 for an afternoon snack. Sure, I could get 4 office mates to help me eat it, but why go through all that trouble. Why can't they sell some smaller cupcakes on the side (and not in packages of 18).
