Can't he just watch a few rounds and figure it out? I mean, that's how I learned every game I played as a kid, and that's how my kids learn.

It's baseball, but instead of batting, you kick a ball. Then run the bases, don't get out, etc. Simple - if you're familiar with baseball.

I am surprised he has not played in PE, however, he will definitely pick it up if he pays attention for a few minutes to the kids playing. Easy and fun!

Look it up on YouTube. Kickball is a pretty well known elementary aged school game and has been around a million years. It's like baseball except with a big rubber ball you kick vs. using a bat/ball.

2nd graders are playing kickball in DS's class. He doesn't know how, and is worried about asking. I am a bit clueless about kids' sports. Is this something he should know by now? If so, what is the obvious channel to learn these things? How can we help him get with it for playground sports? Thanks!
