Agree with PP, park around the block where you can safely and legally get your kid to school. Are you really complaining because someone didn't wait a few minutes while you illegally double park? Why are you so entitled? Why is your rush more important than another driver's?

The directionality of the street goes by the clock, period. I don't see any road signs that said "No left turn 7-9:30 am, except for when the federal government is two hours late, in which case it will be no left turn from 9-11:30 am." What about non-parents who happened to be driving down the street? Would you be angry at them, too, for not knowing what was going on? Obviously a parent should know better, but legally he was within his rights to drive the other way, if we're understanding correctly.

What exactly would you have parents do? Teleport their children to school?

And yes, I would expect ANYONE - parent or not - to be aware that there was inclement weather and school delays, and to be more understanding. If I was OP that driver would have gotten my middle finger the minute my kid was safely inside.

My DC Charter is on a street that goes one way during the drop off and pick up times. I know with the 2 hour delay we went past the "posted" time but I got yelled at by a man who was also dropping off his kids because there was no room for him to drive down the street. Yes it is past 9:30 but you know there is a two hour delay that is why you are here now too. The road is narrow and you are the only one trying to come up the street and there are several cars behind me the way it would be without the delay.

Crossing guard and a DC DOT person just standing to the side watching this idiot screaming at the cars who can't let him pass. And he also had Maryland plates.
