Its an excellent school and will only get better as the neighborhoods feeding the school continue to jump in value and equalize to the surrounding mclean neighborhoods.
What is wrong with you??
No one is talking about Haycock or property values.
So...the first sentence was someone from Pimmit Hills purporting to describe the attitude of Haycock/McLean families, and the second sentence was intended to be THE TRUTH as seen from Lisle Avenue or Pimmit Drive?
Whatever...it's nice to see people gearing up to make Lemon Road their school!

I can't help but think that the culture will change since there is a new Principal and LR will have grown 50%-100% in two years. It doesn't mean that the culture will be better or worse, but it will be different. It will no longer be a small school with very small class sizes. It was an anomoly in this part of the county and its time has past - the stresses of a growing system are ensuring it.
I think the potential is there to create a wonderful learning environment that reflects its past but also embraces the new. It will take people being open to change and to new ways of doings things (both the older Lemon Road community and the new Lemon Road community). I hope people come willing to maintain some traditions and also come to start some new ones. Give people the benefit of the doubt, assume the best in people, take on a few tasks that no one traditionally wants to do. If you want something to happen, volunteer to lead or co-lead it. Don't say, "at my old school,....." Don't say, "This is the way we have always done ....... I am sure there will be growing pains and something will fall through the cracks - if does - be helpful.![]()
